Picture Books for Adults
Great children’s books are never written only for children. They speak at least two languages at once: one for the child who listens or reads, and another for the adult who reads aloud. This is why the best children’s stories carry depth, symbolism, and meaning that travel across generations. In this webinar, we’ll explore how children’s literature becomes a powerful space for reflection and therapeutic work with adults. Together, we will: Explore several iconic children’s books and look closely at what has kept them alive — and relevant — for so many years Notice how simplicity, metaphor, and repetition open emotional layers that adults often struggle to access directly Reflect on the children’s books we ourselves loved, and consider what they may still be holding for us today This session is an invitation to return to familiar stories — not nostalgically, but curiously — and to discover what they continue to say when we meet them as adults.

Into the heart of stories
In this session, we explore how stories we read, tell, and live hold layers beneath the surface. Through short stories, poems, and gentle reflective exercises, we listen for what stirs underneath—both in the text and in our own personal narratives. This is an invitation to slow down, become curious, and discover new meanings that can shift how we see ourselves and our lives.
