Bibliotherapist MA

Efrat is a passionate bibliotherapist with a Master’s in Bibliotherapy from David Yellin College. She uses stories, poems and writing in her clinical work to help people get closer to their essence and feel understood and relived. Her journey into bibliotherapy started with writing stories as a child and continued with a BA in Social Sciences and professional screenwriting training in Tel Aviv, which really helped to forge  her view of  stories as a vehicle  for change.

Since 2013, she's been using literature and psychodynamic techniques for therapeutic purposes with children, teens, and adults—in both individual and group settings —  and has specialised in traumatic loss and grief.  In 2014, she joined Ha-Mila, the Israeli Bibliotherapy Centre, for which she created and facilitated a broad range of training programs. In 2024, she co-founded The Bibliotherapy Academy,  aiming to inspire people worldwide to harness the power of stories, poems and writing for self-development and growth.
