Description
This module explores writing as a therapeutic process through a psychodynamic and bibliotherapeutic lens. We will examine what happens when experience moves from the inner world into language—and how the form we give our writing can shape what becomes possible to think, feel and discover. Across seven sessions, we will move between structure and freedom, expansion and distillation, expression and reflection. We will explore guided and structured writing, metaphor and symbol, journaling, therapeutic letters, intuitive and reflective writing, and mindful writing. Along the way, we will consider writing as a containing space, a form of dialogue, a way of accessing unconscious material, and a means of developing reflective capacity and creating new relationships with our own stories.
